California decided to play an active role in the negotiation of health insurance plans and that led to good results for the people of California. There have been a relatively smooth transition from group health coverage to individual health plans California under Covered California. Covered California is California’s public health insurance marketplace and California’s version of Obamacare, which lets both individuals and small businesses to buy health insurance at rates that are granted by the federal government.
